Great Highchair

Warning! This is a long review. I have been using this type of high chair (mine is actually a little different colored) for 3 (yes 3!) years. I normally don't write reviews of products, but when I see a good product being reviewed by stupid people I have to chime in and add my 2 cents. Now normally I would NEVER pay this kind of $$ for a highchair (and I didn't, I got mine on ebay for brand new for only $80) to me no high chair unless dipped in gold should be that much. But pricing aside, it has lasted us for 3 years and is still in almost perfect shape, in fact, I plan on selling it second hand this week. It came with two pads in which I never even used the top pad (still has the tags on it) but in hind sight I could see where it would give a real little one good support all around. I am not a super clean freak, so using only the lower pad (and strap covers) it was really easy to just lift the pad wipe down after feeding. Now mind you, with babies that AREN'T feeding themselves yet there should be virtually no clean up (unless you are that big of a slob and can't get it in their mouths!) When they do start to feed themselves then you know it's gonna get messy but there is 2 pads and 2 tray covers so there is absolutley no reason that you can't rotate them out. I just hand washed my trays (not that hard people) and threw my pads into the washer and dryer. Once a week I would pull all the straps off and throw them in too. Then I would wipe the whole thing down with clorox wipes. The pads, straps, strap covers come off easy and all washed up beautiful. I only just got a stain on it that didn't come all the way out (blueberries from pancakes that must have got stuck under the butt). But I would have to say the best part of using it has been the fact that it has so many height levels. I could wheel it around and adjust it to where ever I was sitting and then as my son hit toddler stage have been able to use it at our table as an extra chair for him, so no booster seat required. Heck I would still use it but my son is saying he is too big for a highchair (he's 3 1/2). As far as the slim folding design, I only folded it maybe twice and as long as you can tuck somewhere (like between a wall and the fridge) it's fine. All and all I highly recommend this highchair especially if price isn't an issue or even better if you can find it cheaper.

Pretty Looking; Hard to Clean

I got this highchair as a gift. I originally thought I wanted a compact highchair, but I do appreciate that this item can be adjusted to meet our table or wheeled out somewhere else.So, the good first. I loved the style of the design. It was modern and didn't look too "childish" in our dining room (I know...doesn't make much sense since it's after all a kid item, but it's true) I love the fact there is two chair covers and two highchair trays to wash. We are always washing one or the other, so I appreciate the extras.Now the bad. As previous reviewers have pointed out, this material is IMPOSSIBLE to clean! You can't wipe it down. You can only get it clean by throwing it in the washer. It's a bit frustrating to have to completely wash the cover when there's just a bit of food. Also, there is SO many crevices for food to get stuck in. There are parts of the chair that just will not come clean. I suppose if I get a box of toothpicks out, I might get it clean.Our tray did fit in the dishwasher, so that is nice, but over all, it's just too dirty even after I wipe it down.

Who thought this was a good idea?

We all know that high chairs get dirty. You can't put the padded seat into the washing machine! I have to wash it in the bathtub and hang it to dry.The chair looks great, but that is the only good thing I can say about it.Seriously? How did this make it out of product testing?
