good idea poor execution, not safe.

For some reason there is an extremely limited number of wooden high chair models available in US. All of them are not cheap, but the Beyond Junior Y High Chair was on the lower end of the price range. This and the nice look of the chair sold it for me. When the chair arrived I found several things about it that were not evident from the pictures.First of all - tray holders and all locks are plastic!!! I was really afraid to break all this parts when putting this chair together. When you put seat and foot rest in, you suppose to press this plastic lock and when I did it, all of them were making cracking noise. I am not sure those locks will survive several times of use, forget "life time".Second - cushions are ridiculously cheap-made, paper-like fabric and provide no cushioning what so ever.and the last, but the most important - the restraint. Abiie advertises it as "Dual Restraint System that can be adjusted for a 5-point harness or a 3-point harness, keeping your loved one secure and comfortable". The part about switching from 5 to 3-point is correct, which is really nice feature. However, those points are not fixed anyhow to the chair! Even though the company website states that the high chair "meets or exceeds ASTM F404-10, HR.4040 & JPMA 2.0 standards" it is difficult to believe that loose restraint system can meet safety standards. (And if it is true, something is wrong with those standards).I noticed this issue when I was assembling the chair - pulled the restrain to adjust the length and it got loose on two out of three points. The restraints are held just by a little plastic buckle, which when moved slides through the cut-out and gets loose. (See the adjusted pics).Bottom line - nice looks, but NOT SAFE. I would NOT recommend it for children that need to be strapped.
