Baby hates it

I was really excited about this high chair and it has a very nic look and is quite functional in theory. The trouble is my baby wails as soon as we put her in it because it has hurt her several times. The straps that hold the baby in are made of very hard plastic and it is difficult to put the baby in when you are alone and keep all the straps back at the same time. More than once despite my best efforts I have set her down on the hard plastic clasp. Now she will not even let me try to put her in it. I used this for about 2 weeks and now I am giving it away and getting something different. I would not recommend this to anyone.

We love this high chair!

This high chair is the bomb! The best feature is that it is totally, completely washable, even the straps (no webbing to trap food!) When it gets crusty, we just scrub and wipe. It's adjustable up and down, and the footrest is adjustable too. Now that the baby is a toddler, she can climb up into it with the assistance of a stepstool.Another reviewer has commented on the stiffness of the straps. It's true, they are stiff. We used the chair with straps for probably a month, but then, because she could sit up and manage without the straps, we just took them off. (We started using the chair pretty late...before then we fed her in the Bumbo with its tray.) There is a big lump between the legs that keeps the baby from sliding forward. If you are starting a very young baby in this high chair, make sure to pull the crotch anchor forward before seating the baby so she doesn't sit on it.

This high chair is terrible, even dangerous. The hard rubber straps are hard to move, the middle anchor strap bends forward and gets in the way of putting your child into the chair. Like the other review, its VERY hard to get your child into this chair safely. I have to twist my child's arms to get them into the straps, and even if I accomplish that without tears, she ends up sitting on the middle strap. Trying to deal with the three stubburn straps with one hand while holding the baby in the other has made me almost drop her (more than once) trying to get her into the darn thing. This was a spendy high chair and since Maxi Cosi won't take it back, I'm stuck with it. Don't make this same mistake!!!!!
