I was looking for a portable high chair for my daughter when Stokke brought the HandySitt from Minui. I decided to go with the HandySitt after looking through some other options. I love this portable high chair because I am not a big fan of plastic. I also like the fact that you can get a floor leg for this chair so it becomes a toddler chair. You need to do up the bottom strap as tight as possible in order to ensure a secure fit. Setting up the two handles to the proper height, of course, is very important too. My husband and I always test the chair by wiggling it before putting the baby on, and it is always nice and secure when the chair is set up properly even though my daughter is a very wiggly baby. Parent supervision is important too, of course, and that goes for any portable high chairs. I give this product four instead of five stars because it can only fit on chairs with a back no higher than 17" (we have been to a few restaurants where the HandySitt won't fit because their chairs have higher backs); however, the two handles give extra support to the chair so that's good. I've actually been to a restaurant where they use HandySitt as their booster chair, it was a nice surprise!

I agree. Definitely user error. With any high chair, the child still needs supervision. I always sit real close to my child when she's using the HandySitt. I only use this at restaurants as I have the Tatamia high chair from Peg Perego. Yes, the kid can kick on the table and fall back, so watch carefully as a parent should already know what could happen. When I received my HandySitt, it made me go crazy with the seatbelt. It was not attached directly on the backrest. Somehow my dad who loves to fix just about everything and anything eventhough unbroken; managed to fix the flaw. Yes, seat can be picky with the height of different restaurant chairs. It fits on MOST. I've only not been able to use it once at a restaurant, because they had lounge chairs in the dining room. I do love the sleek design to this seat. It's made of real wood, so it is sturdy and holds up to a child's weight. The cushion could be a bit more plush and should have Velcro to keep it in place. It fits in our stroller basket, so it's not a pain to carry with us on mall trips. We have the Uppababy Vista and it's popular for its HUGE basket, so I wouldn't know how it is with others. Every time we use this at restaurants, the servers and customers are often amused and excited over this seat. With that said, they see how clever it really is. Like in all cases, always stay beside your child when they are using the seat. When my family uses this seat without me, I have to always remind them to make sure that the seatbelt is properly adjusted; not loosened as it obviously defeats the purpose. They usually oversee that big important detail. So, make sure it's always secure. I have not yet experienced an accident and my child is at that wiggle stage. In the end, I have not felt bad about my decision with the HandySitt.

This product works as its intended to and I love how easy it is to use and travel with. I've never had an accident as mentioned in another review which I also believe is related to some sort of user error. This is a lot better and safer than some of the chairs that connect to tables.
