I bought this highchair because I felt the design was superior to other items on the market and because it was a European Brand. Ease of use and cleaning were my priorities.TWO BIG PROBLEMS, #2 below is VERY serious:1. This highchair is very difficult to clean because food gets stuck between the tray and the metal frame. You have to use a toothpick to dig out the food from this tiny gap between the two materials. you have to do this every two or three days or the buildup is disgusting. needless to say, this is too much maintenance for a daily use highchair.2. !!!THE COATING ON THE SURFACE OF THE EATING TRAY AND SEAT IS FLAKING OFF!!! 50% of the surface of the tray has come off in little flecks of paint over the last several weeks and months. I wash the tray with warm water and dishsoap and a non-abrasive sponge or a papertowel. I noticed on a sunny day that the surface didn't seem uniform, and when i detached the tray and looked at it under a stronger light, I realized that the surface was coming off. When i scratched at it with my finger nail, I got a finger full of blue (paint??!) chips. THIS IS TOTALLY, TOTALLY unacceptable. The store where I bought the highchair is giving me a full refund, and i WILL NOT be buying another product from this brand. After 12 months of feeding my child from this tray, I really upsets me to think about how much of this "paint" she has eaten.Mutsy- get your act together, and supervise the production of this item!! I did not realize when i bought the highchair that it was manufactured in China, and am therefore Very concerned about what my child has been ingesting over the last 12 months.

We bought this with our baby registry completion several months ago. Our baby is now big enough to use it. We got it out today and there were no instructions in the box. We started putting it together and attached the main piece to the base without first sliding the seat on. Now it is completely stuck together and we can't take it apart to properly put it together. What a frustrating product! Save yourself the frustration and buy something else.
