I have the ivory model. My twins are now 19 months old and im downgrading my review a bit:Pros:Folding and portability (need to take it to grandmas house? now you can!), the vinyl portion of the seat wipes clean very easily, its very light weight, nice clean modern look, comes ready to go and doesn't need assembly. What a relief to find a highchair that can fold up super flat and stash away for when guests are over or you just need your kitchen back!Cons:-Although the 5 point harness is great, when the baby doesnt need it anymore you can only remove half of it. The shoulder straps come off but the bottom parts of the harness are left dangling in the seat. I wrapped the bottom part down and secured with velcro that is at the seat bottom. And i threaded the other part back thru the shoulder holes.-The gap between the seat back and the tray is a little large (about 8.5 or 9") and food does end up on baby's lap. However, the only thing preventing the tray from sliding in closer is a tiny plastic stop and i filed ours off with a metal file so the try can move in about 1" closer. Still i wish it could go even closer.-The part that goes in between their legs is fabric not vinyl like the rest. It gets really gunky and there's no other way to get it nice and clean other than put the whole seat in the wash. It doesnt say you can machine wash the vinyl but it velcros off very easily (seat attached) and i threw the whole thing in the washer on cold, seat and all (and then delicate in the dryer) and it worked fine at first. After a couple times doing this the thin board that makes up the seat bottom has broken up =( But i still put in the wash cause there's no other way to get it clean!-The part that goes in between their legs is also larger than it needs to be and forms a 'T'. The top of the 'T' really makes it hard to get the kid out when theyre a little bigger!I really want to love this highchair but Valco has a bit of design modification to do first. All pretty easy stuff!

I love this highchair! I did a lot of research before I purchased and vacillated between the Astro, the Boon Flair, and the Bloom Nano. I liked each one for their modern style and compact design. Despite the lack of reviews for this product I finally decided to go with the Valco Baby Astro in chocolate because of the price. I am so glad I went with this chair! I love it! It is a very nice size, has a nice small tray, compact fold, soft easy to wipe down leatherette, a 5 point harness with padded straps, and my 6 month old daughter loves it! I love the style and it fits in very well with our espresso bent wood chairs!I am very happy with my purchase! This chair is exactly what we needed!

mom of 6 month old.I purchased both the joovy nook and the astro. when they arrived i unpacked both, at first glance i noticed a good amount of size difference between the two. The astro is a good 3 inches shorter than the joovy. For our kitchen a smaller highchair works better however we ulitimately decided to go w/ the joovy. The 2 down falls to the astro were the shoulder strap pillow things and the leg cutouts. I didn't see in the photos, prior to purchasing, the shoulder pillows and they are HUGE. Later i read one person that said they cut them off, i wasn't about to start cutting things off of a highchair i had just purchased. I also didn't care for the leg cutouts, instead i found the joovy easier to get our son in and out of of. I did and do LOVE the base to the astro, its less intrusive than many other highchairs i have tried. If i could make the perfect highchair for us it would have the Joovy top with the Astro legs and folding mechanizm.PROS:Size (if you need a smallish highchair)Seat Material, easy to cleanFolds very easy and compactCONS:Leg cutoutsShoulder Strap pillow things are huge
