I was really happy to find this product as I was scheming to build one myself out of an old adjustable desk lamp. We have our first baby and we're really stressed out. The idea of being able to have something hold a bottle in her mouth, especially as we're changing diapers, seemed like a miracle.The problem, though, is that the clamp the secures the arm in place breaks very easily. We actually ordered two of these arms, one after the other, and the clamps both broke within minutes of use.With the first clamp, it broke when my wife was in a hurry to grab the baby. I didn't see what happened, we were both so sleep deprived, and my wife has a tendency to be sort of hard on appliances like vacuums, dishwashers, and so forth, that I assumed she pushed the arm too hard. After all, the thing got in the way of a mother and a crying baby.I got in touch with the manufacturer about a refund. They were a little hard to get in touch with, and we went back and forth with a lot of email. To give them credit, they did make a good effort to get in touch, but at this point I was working full time and getting almost no sleep, and I just didn't have the energy to deal with this, so I let it go. I decided to just order another one instead. Five minutes on Amazon was less hassle than God knows how much time and energy I just didn't have.The next one showed up and I took very special note of its care. The clamp broke in exactly the same place within minutes of fastening it to her crib. If you just move the arm after it's fastened, the clamp with break.So, I do not recommend this product at all. It's really a shame, cause all they would need to do is reinforce the clamp with metal, or just replace the clamp entirely with some sort of metal. I'm sure it would increase the price, but hell, I'd easily pay $100 for this thing if it actually worked.Hope this review helps.

Quick Summary:* solid construction out with clamp and flexible arm* adjustable to many positions* more suitable for children older than 1 yr, rather than babiesDetailed Review:We bought the Mother's 3rd arm to give a helping hand when things got a little too busy. The item arrived quickly and it was easy to attach to a car seat and adjust to hold a bottle close to the baby's face. Our issue arose when we had an eater that liked to move their head around a lot. Given the nature of the Mother's 3rd Arm, it isn't meant to adjust and actually stays in place where you finally set it. It ended up not working well as the baby was too young and uncoordinated to find the nipple again after moving.Given our issues, we contacted the manufacturer and were very impressed by the customer service. A phone call with who I believe to be the inventor explained how to use it and suggested a few tips. In the end, the recommendation was that it would work extremely well but would be better when the child was older, not just several months as in our case. He suggested we keep it and give it a try later. Overall, although the product wasn't right for us now, I can't help be impressed by the customer service and the desire to hear feedback and make a better product.

FINALLY!! My days of shuttering at the sound of the sippy cup being thrown onto the ground while I am trying to do a few chores around the house are finally over!! After reading some of the reviews, I am surprised by the (good) quality of this product. I have maneuvered it and bent it in all kinds of different ways and it seems really sturdy. I am also amazed by the flexibility of the arm - i can rig it to anything and get it into the perfect position for my daughter. Whew!!!The ONLY possible downside for some people is that the arm that I got is faux leopard skin. haha I actually like it but if I had a boy I'm not sure I would want to take it outside.Great product!!
